My wife, Kathleen, and I have been out of our home for eight months. We have tried to keep our sense of humor through this trying time. That has been a struggle. Your prayers and good wishes, care and concern has helped us immeasurably.
I won't try to explain the battle this has been. If you have had a devastating property loss, you can already imagine. If you have been fortunate to avoid major damage to your property, you could never understand. Boring you with details regardless of your experience would serve no purpose.
We have made progress and are looking forward to moving home soon. The house's damage gave us numerous opportunities to improve our floor plan and various features in our home. The floor plan opens up the living area. All of the walls have new paint. Baseboards and crown moulding have been installed and painted. We'll have new flooring. We expanded our kitchen and will have new cabinets and countertop. These and other little "things" give us a degree of hopeful anticipation.

For years I have e mailed cartoons to folks on my TigerToons e mail list. I will continue the e mails. This has been both a joy and a pain. A joy in that I have fun allowing others to share the cartoons. It is a pain because I need to manage nearly 1500 e mail addresses. That is difficult and time consuming.
And so I have explored FaceBook and YouTube.
FaceBook has become a convenient way to stay in touch with so many people. It also allows us to become better acquainted with those who we only know by way of e mail. I'll be posting TigerToons to my FaceBook site as well as here at TigerToons.org. I encourage you to join FaceBook. There are drawbacks, but on the whole I have found it useful and a delightful way to stay in touch.
YouTube is also a internet phenomenon. I decided to document the rebuilding of our home on video. An added result is that I can share other videos via YouTube. My tag is tigertoondude. Checkout YouTube from time to time and search for tigertoondude.
